Beef and Broccoli

Ditch the takeout menu and make this Asian classic at home. Kitchen Basics® Beef Bone Broth, combined with marmalade and soy sauce, creates the perfect balance of rich, savory and sweet. Simmer sauce with broccoli and sirloin strips and serve over rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup beef bone broth
  • 2 tbsp orange marmelade
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak cut into thin strips
  • 4 cups broccoli floorets

Instructions

  • Mix bone broth, marmalade, soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic and ginger in small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add beef in batches and stir fry 5 minutes or until no longer pink, adding additional oil as needed. Remove beef from skillet. Add broccoli to skillet; stir fry 3 minutes or until tender-crisp. Return beef to skillet.
  • Stir bone broth mixture. Add to skillet while stirring constantly. Bring to boil on medium heat. Boil 1 minute. Serve with cooked rice, if desired.
