Mulled Wine is a wonderful warm spiced cocktail that is easily made in a slow cooker. Try one at your next holiday or winter gathering and pair it with appetizers and desserts like Gingerbread Snack Cake.

To a slow cooker, add: 1 bottle of red wine, 4 cups apple cider, 1 orange sliced into rounds, 6 ounces cranberries, 6 whole cloves, 3 cinnamon sticks, 3 star anise. Cook on low for 2 hours, ladle into mugs and serve warm.

To a slow cooker, add: 1 bottle of red wine, 3 cinnamon sticks, 2 cups orange juice, 2 cups apple cider, 1 teaspoon orange zest, 1/4 cup Brandy, 8-10 whole cloves, 2/3 cups honey, 2 teaspoons ground ginger, 2 star anise. Cook on low for 2 hours, ladle into mugs and serve warm with 1 orange sliced into rounds for garnish.

Cook on low for 2 hours, ladle into mugs and serve warm with 1 cup cranberries and dried orange slices for garnish.
